The DOE has set aside $366 million to aid 17 projects across 20 states and 30 tribal nations and communities to accelerate clean energy deployment in rural and remote areas.
The projects encompass various clean energy technologies, including solar, microgrids, pumped storage hydropower, geothermal, and battery energy storage systems.
The DOE earmarked $425 million in funding to aid energy transition in current and former coal communities by supporting small and medium clean energy companies.
