QatarEnergy has signed an agreement with U.S. supermajor ExxonMobil to acquire a working interest in an exploration block offshore Egypt.

Tecnicas Reunidas has won a $560 million contract for the North Field.

QatarEnergy will supply Shell with up to 3.5 MMtpa of LNG for 27 years.

The move aims to enhance the effectiveness of LNG marketing and sales from Qatar.

QatarEnergy and five shipping companies signed time-charter agreements for 44 newbuild LNG carriers, raising the number of vessels under QatarEnergy's LNG fleet expansion program to over a hundred.
