QatarEnergy has awarded contracts worth over $6 billion for main works in the next-phase development of the Gulf state's biggest oil field.

Under the agreement, Excelerate will purchase up to one million mtpa of LNG from QatarEnergy on a delivered ex-ship basis in Bangladesh for 15 years.

Qatar paused sending liquefied natural gas tankers through the Bab el-Mandeb Strait.
